Frequently Asked Questions
Want to give us your printing data and have questions about file formats, printing procedures and other things? Below we have summarized the most frequently asked questions about our printing services.
1. How do I submit my printing data to The Printing Post?
You can send us your data by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are sending larger files use the link on our contact us page. You can also bring in a flash drive, CD or DVD.
2. What format should my data be in?
High Res. PDF format is ideal for printing. When using spot colors for 1 or 2 color offset printing, please create the colors using Pantone Matching System colors.
3. What resolution do I need?
The higher the resolution the better. Pictures should be a minimum 300 dpi at the size they are to be printed. Images from web sites are small and don't translate well to printing.
4. What other file formats does The Printing Post except?
We accept most Mac based programs such as Quark, Adobe Creative Suite, Photo Shop, Ilustrator, and others. PC programs such as Word and Publisher can sometimes be acceptable along with older Pagemaker files.
5. Will I see a proof before printing?
We always create a digital proof for approval before production starts. Hard copy proofs are also available at no additional charge.
We accept Visa, Master Card and Discover. We also accept company and personal checks along with cash. Accounts can be set up for qualified businesses. Please contact us at 412-367-7468 for additional information.
